Personally, I like to have my supplemental (b-sides, versions, non-album tracks) divided out after their parent albums. In order to have all the officially released Japan material, you NEED to buy the compilation albums "Assemblage", "In Vogue", and "Exorcising Ghosts". Quiet Life is the third studio album by English new wave band Japan, first released in 20 December in Japan, Germany, Canada and other countries, then in the UK in 4 January (due to a delay in manufacturing the album) by record label Hansa. The album was a transition from the glam rock-influenced style of previous albums to a synthpop style.

This album was produced by John Punter and it was only Track B2 'All Tomorrow's Parties' which was produced by Napier-Bell and Japan. Producer credits are correctly printed in the gatefold sleeve. Track B4: 'The Other Side Of Life' is misprinted on the label as 'The Other Side Of Love'.
