Album Both Sides Now, covers of classic jazz lounge singing style, is excellent and the high point for me is the deeply retrospective, in comparison to the original - Case of You. The only other Mitchell penned song on the album is orchestrated version of Both Sides Now/5().

Ex-husband Larry Klein, who serves as co-producer and musical director, explains in his liner notes that Joni Mitchell intended to tell the story of a "modern" romantic relationship in the songs, most of which come from the '30s and '40s.
